I recently purchased this Naked palette from Sephora…I saw it a few months back and fell in love with it…the shadow colors were sooo pretty. I had a wedding to attend this past weekend and wanted new shadow colors, it was the perfect time to run out and get it. Supposedly, this palette was once hard to find…a bestseller. Now, you can find it everywhere: Urban Decay Naked Palette ($48) contains twelve eyeshadows, an eyeshadow brush, and a travel size of the famous Urban Decay Primer Potion. But, what makes this palette different from others? Well, for starters, it works for pretty much anyone.
Here is a rundown of the colors, the palette includes: Virgin (satin chamois), Sin (champagne), Naked (matte buff nude), Sidecar (cocoa with golden sparkle sheen), Buck (matte nutmeg), Half Baked (subtle, lustrous bronze), Smog (deep coppery bronze), Darkhorse (bronze patina), Toasted (rich copper), Hustle (plum brown satin), Creep (onyx with gold sparkle), Gunmetal (gunmetal gray with silver glitter). The final piece is a double-ended 24/7 Liner with Zero (black) on one side and Whiskey (creamy rich brown) on the other.
This what I found out by researching it a bit further: There are six permanent and existing shades, one repromoted shade, and five new shades. Originally when the palette was released, it was released with one of the Urban Decay 24/7 Liners, but high demand for the product caused the company to rethink that strategy. So instead of opting to continue slow productions, they decided to include the Urban Decay Good Karma Shadow Brush. Retailing at $26.00, the brush is vegan and is made from recycled materials. (yay!)
I have to say this is one of the best palette’s I’ve ever bought..I’ve already used all the colors, the brush is good-quality and blends like a dream, great colors for daytime or nighttime…varies from shimmer to matte…overall, I think I’ll get LOTS of use out of this one. I like that even the metallic ones have a subtle shimmer not glittery like other shadows. No wonder it’s a bestseller!
